The Minister of State for Culture and Tourism, Shri Prahlad Singh Patel will inaugurate the 11th Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav (RSM) on 14th February, 2021 at Cooch Behar in West Bengal to achieve the goal of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”.
It is organized by Ministry of Culture.
Key Points :
• The Ministry of Culture is mandated with the task of preservation, promotion and propagation of Indian Culture (both tangible and intangible).
• It organizes Cultural programs, festival and thearatical performance.
• Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav, organized by Ministry of Culture since 2015.
• The active participation of Seven Zonal Cultural Centres has been playing a pivotal role to take vibrant culture of India out to the masses instead of confining to auditoria and galleries.

• The 11th edition of RSM need necessary precautions against COVID-19 Pandemic to build confidence among artisans.
•The 11th edition of RSM will cover a profusion of folk art forms and it would offer the chance to experience the best in established emerging virtuosity.
• It will reconnect the people, especially the youth, with their indigenous culture, its multifaceted nature, magnificent, opulence and historical importance in the context of India as a Nation over the millennia.
• RSM will enhance mutual understanding and bonding between people of diverse cultures, thereby securing stronger unity and integrity of India.
Facts about Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat :
• It was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015 on the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
• Aim : To enhance unity and integrity of India.
• It is an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Now : Ministry of Education).
• To Celebrate the Unity in Diversity by mutual understanding of the People.
• To Promote interaction between people of diverse cultures living in different States and UTs in India, with the objective of greater mutual understanding amongst them.
• The pairing of States/UTs through tangible and intangible spheres i.e. music, drama, cuisine, language, history, tourism and other forms of exchange between the people.
