Mela (Employment Fair):

  • A Rozgar Mela is an employment strategy to fast-track the
    meeting
    of job seekers and employers.
  • Possibility of new jobs in both the government and private
    sector is continuously increasing.
  • More, importantly, these opportunities are emerging for the
    youth in their own cities and villages.
  • Prime Minister launched the first phase of “Rozgar Mela”, a
    recruitment drive for 10 lakh central government jobs through video
    conferencing in 50 centers across the country.
  • A significant number of posts are being filled by the
    Ministry of Home Affairs in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
  • The new recruits, selected from across the country, will
    join 38 Ministries/Departments of Government of India. 
  • The appointees will join
    the government at various levels viz. Group – A, Group – B (Gazetted), Group –
    B (Non-Gazetted) and Group – C.  
  • This recruitment is done by Central Ministries and
    Departments themselves and through recruitment agencies like UPSC, SSC, Railway
    Recruitment Board.
  • The employment fairs will be organised at different location
    (Central level to Village level) from time to time to empower the youth of
    India.
  • Government has been organizing Rozgar Melas across the
    nation for providing suitable job opportunities in private sector and government
    sector to the unemployed youth.
  • Rozgar Mela is endeavour to empower youth and make them the catalyst in national development.
  • Central government is according the highest priority to utilise talent and energy of youth for nation-building.

 

About Karmayogi
Prarambh Module:

  • The Karmayogi
    Prarambh module is an initiative under the Mission Karmayogi.
  • The module is
    an online orientation course for all new appointees in various Government
    departments.
  • The ‘Karmayogi
    Bharat’
    technology platform will be a great help in upskilling.
  • It will include
    code of conduct for Government servants, workplace ethics & integrity,
    human resource policies and other benefits and allowances that will help them
    to get acclimatized to the policies and transition smoothly into the new roles.
  • They will also
    get an opportunity to explore other courses on igotkarmayogi.gov.in platform to
    enhance their knowledge, skills and competencies.
  • The motive of
    this online orientation programme is to keep the essence of civil service
    within the people of the country.

 

 

Brief Account on Mission Karmayogi:

  • It is a National Programme for Civil
    Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB)
    launched on September02, 2020 under the
    Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
  • Mission Karmayogi is a new experiment
    of its kind in the direction of capacity building.
  • Through this mission, the government
    employees have to modernize their thinking, approach and improve their skill
    set.
  • It is to give them an opportunity to
    become a Karmayogi.
  • Motto: The Civil Services enshrined in
    Bhagvad Gita as YogahKarmasuKaushalam which denotes :efficiency in action,
    signifies productive efficiency for producing maximum results.

    Policies with focus on continuous learning and driving competencies.
  2. Competency Framework-Shift from Rule
    to Role with the indigenous competency framework.
  3. Institutional Framework- Oversight by
    PMHR Council
  4. iGOT Karmyogi- Large scale comprehensive
    learning platform
  5. E-HRMS- Strategic HR Management
  6. Monitoring and Evaluation Framework-
    Continuous performance analysis, data driven goal-setting and real time
    monitoring.
