Government of India under first phase of Rozgar Melas, the Prime Minister distributed about 71,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits under Rozgar Mela via video conferencing.

  • A Rozgar Mela is an employment strategy to fast-track the meeting of job seekers and employers.
  • Possibility of new jobs in both the government and private sector is continuously increasing.
  • More, importantly, these opportunities are emerging for the youth in their own cities and villages.
  • Prime Minister launched the first phase of “Rozgar Mela”, a recruitment drive for 10 lakh central government jobs through video conferencing in 50 centers across the country.
  • A significant number of posts are being filled by the Ministry of Home Affairs in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
  • The new recruits, selected from across the country, will join 38 Ministries/Departments of Government of India. 
  • The appointees will join the government at various levels viz. Group – A, Group – B (Gazetted), Group – B (Non-Gazetted) and Group – C.  
  • This recruitment is done by Central Ministries and Departments themselves and through recruitment agencies like UPSC, SSC, Railway Recruitment Board.

About Karmayogi Prarambh Module:

  • The Karmayogi Prarambh module is an initiative under the Mission Karmayogi.
  • The module is an online orientation course for all new appointees in various Government departments.
  • The 'Karmayogi Bharat' technology platform will be a great help in upskilling.
  • It will include code of conduct for Government servants, workplace ethics & integrity, human resource policies and other benefits and allowances that will help them to get acclimatized to the policies and transition smoothly into the new roles.
  • They will also get an opportunity to explore other courses on igotkarmayogi.gov.in platform to enhance their knowledge, skills and competencies.
  • The motive of this online orientation programme is to keep the essence of civil service within the people of the country.

 

 

Brief Account on Mission Karmayogi:

  • It is a National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB) launched on September02, 2020 under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.
  • Mission Karmayogi is a new experiment of its kind in the direction of capacity building.
  • Through this mission, the government employees have to modernize their thinking, approach and improve their skill set.
  • It is to give them an opportunity to become a Karmayogi.
  • Motto: The Civil Services enshrined in Bhagvad Gita as YogahKarmasuKaushalam which denotes :efficiency in action, signifies productive efficiency for producing maximum results.
